Thailand - Above the Water & Below This month’s speaker will be Phil Rudin, Professional photographer and long time president of the South Florida Underwater Photography Society. His previous presentation on diving in Alaska under the ice and the trip up the coast from Washington was well received. This month Phil will give a presentation on Underwater Thailand and land trip to Thailand, and Angkor Wat in Cambodia the largest religious temple in the world. Don't miss this great travel presentation.

June 14th (9 to noon or the morning dive for the dive charters) the 20th annual Reef Sweep and Beach Cleanup will be held. I’m looking forward to participating again this year. I always have fun and feel good about the work we are doing. There will be, as always, beach walkers, beach divers, charter divers, personal boaters and more volunteering for this worthwhile cause. Some of our favorite charters are participating again this year. I am booked with South Florida Dive Headquarters and would love to see a great turn out from Undersea Adventurers Dive Club. I talked to Sherry at SFDHQ and we can get our special club rate, just let her know you are with USA Dive Club/Glada/Reef Sweep when you book June 14th 7:30 show 8:00 go, Aquaview, Sands Harbor, Abbey Too (or reef that most needs our help. Local Diving ![]() With Larry Baum Saturday June 21st
OK gang, I've checked all the June dates for conflicts and it looks like Saturday, June 21, 2008 is available for a Club dive with Parrot Island Scuba Adventures, http://www.parrotislandscuba.com. I've taken the liberty of booking all 20 spots on the Fathoms O' Fun, a great boat that many of you are familiar with.
I'm certain that by June 21 the conditions will be perfect and we'll take over the entire boat. Price is $47 (tips are up to each diver) with $10 per tank if you need them. Of course, I need to release any seats back to the boat that we can't fill, so please register early and often and let's see if we can take over the entire boat. Look forward to seeing many of you (well, at least 19 of you) for our June dive.
Click on the link for a review of our most recent LOCAL DIVE. Looking forward to diving with everyone again in 2008!!!

We are happy to report that the flyers in the Force-E Dive Shop directed Jamie and Roy Caswell to our May meeting. Jamie is a new diver and Roy has been diving since 1998. Diana Rudnick came to us from an ad in "The Pelican" newspaper. Diana was certified in the 1980's in New York. Robert Bettarel saw the USA advertisement in the local newspaper. Robert is not currently a diver, but he does have a BOAT. Julie and Clare extended him a warm welcome. Hopefully, we can convince him that it is never too late to try something new!! We welcomed return guests Wayne Lindeman, Jodi McMasters and Karl Dickey. We introduced Judy, a reporter, from "The Pelican" Newspaper. Judy attended our meeting to cover Cory Walter's presentation "BleachWatch". Please be sure click on the calendar button for details regarding our club's upcoming local and overseas dive trips along with our numerous non-diving social events. You may take a peek at many of our past diving and non-diving club activities by clicking on the photo gallery button. You'll see lots of happy faces in the photo gallery. USA welcomes our newest members and guests and wish "Happy Diving" to all.
